Talk Homework 21st February 2012

In preparation for our poetry competition for St David’s Day, the talk homework this week is to discuss items that you would find in a Welsh person’s pocket.  Encourage your child to add WOW describing words to their item also.  On Friday we will be writing a poem called ‘Ten Things found in a Welsh Person’s Pocket. I have included an example of a poem.

Ten things found in a Welsh Person’s Pocket

A litre of our strong and unique Welsh accent,
A vibrant colossal red dragon blowing in the wind,
A blazing yellow daffodil in full bloom,
A breath-taking winning try for our home team,
A home-made, mouth-watering welsh cake,
The first page of a book called ‘Learning Welsh is Easy’,
The treasured words of  ‘Mae hen wlad fy nhadu’,
An ancient black and white photograph of St David, our patron Saint,
The phenomenal voice of Tom Jones,
A devoted love letter from the patron Saint of Love St Dynwen.

Use the page provided to make notes or write these straight into your treasuries.
Remember the more talk the better!  The best of luck and try your best because you could be the winner!
