Talk Homework

This week we would like you to take about instructions on how to care for the endangered animal, the Asian Elephant within a zoo.  Please can you talk about:

• the food it will need
• the home it will need
• the enclosure around its home
• how will you know if it is happy
• how it will need to be treated
• exercise
• its likes and dislikes

On Friday, we will be writing a set of instructions on how to look after the animal within our Endangered Species Zone we have designed. Therefore can you also find any bossy verbs that can be used in our instructional writing e.g. Wash, Pour, Take, Cuddle, Provide, Open, Clean, Place, Provide, Remove, Dispose, Check, Maintain etc. Why not talk about suitable adverbs (ly words) to use in this writing e.g. Carefully, gently, slowly, cautiously, quickly, thoroughly etc.
