busy in class learning about Christenings and this week we are going to write a
letter to our local vicar Reverend Sue telling her about everything we have
learnt.
Please can you spend
time this week talking about Christenings and in particular address the
following questions:
What is a Christening
or baptism?
Where does it take
place?
Why is a child
christened?
Where does it happen?
What happens during
the ceremony?
What is a font?
Why is a candle lit
and given? What are the symbols on the
candle?
What are godparents?
I'm sure the children will surprise you with how much they know!!!
