Talk Homework - Week Beginning 19th September 2011

Over the next fortnight, we are looking at how to write a set of instructions. This week the Talk Homework is to discuss instructions for a rocket launch to the moon. Instructions usually begin with a verb (bossy word). Examples of an instruction text and such words have been included. Please could you talk about:

*the stages that occur during takeoff (in order)

*things needed for take-off (equipment)

*possible verbs that could be used to start the instruction.

*time words to start the instruction: then, next, first, after that, second, finally

Don’t forget to talk about any WOW words that could be included within your instructions. Enjoy! This has to be completed by Friday.
