Big Talk – Monday 17th October
HARVEST
In Ffynnon Taf this week we are celebrating Harvest therefore for talk homework I would like you to talk about:
*why we celebrate Harvest. Explain that it is a time to say thank you for food, for the people who grow and harvest the food.
*encourage the children to think about how lucky they are always having lovely food to eat, never being hungry etc.
*discuss how Christians thank God - for the sun and rain so that the crops grow, and for a good harvest.
* ask children for examples of when they say thank you and why. Who should they thank if they don’t already do so?
On Friday we will be continuing with our letter writing and we will be writing thank you letters for our harvest and other things we appreciate.
