Dosbarth Coala, I am extremely proud of you all for all the effort you are putting into your Talk Homework.  It is having an immense impact on your writing.  Every week all of your writing continues to improve.  Keep it up!  Ardderchog!

This week we are looking at job advertisements.  On Friday we will be writing a job advertisement for the nurse Betsi Cadwalder or Florence Nightingale. Please could you discuss:

*the qualities that a nurse needs e.g. patience, kindness, helpfulness, able to listen to others, work as part of a team, strong stomach etc.

*the roles a nurse is expected to undertake – care for the sick/elderly, give out medicines, change bandages, take patient’s temperatures and blood pressure etc

*the uniform they would need to wear (see images below)

Spend this time also discussing with your child what they have learnt about Florence Nightingale so far, they will surprise you!
