TALK HOMEWORK Monday 13th May Traditional Tales from Wales This week we are looking at the traditional story from Wales called ‘Morgana’s Secret Island’. You can share this story with your child by visiting the following site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/history/sites/kids/myths/morgana_story.shtml Please can you spend this week talking about the main events of the story and asking your child to retell the story in their own words. Whilst they are retelling the story (orally) encourage them to add adjectives to describe the characters. Discuss: Who? What ? Where? When? Why? about the story. On Friday we will be writing a newspaper article about the story so discuss with your child possible headline or eye witnesses from the story. Please can you also ‘steal’ any WOW words from the story that they could use in their writing. The spellings for this week are: June, July, August, September, October.
