Monday 20^th October

This week we will be carrying on with instructional writing based on washing hands. Please can you spend this week talking about what is involved in washing hands and the importance of it. The sheet attached may be useful when doing this.   Please talk about:

1.   What you do first? Next etc. Talk through the different stages.

2. What equipment do you need?

3. Encourage them to use time connectives to start the instructions e.g. firstly, next, then, finally.

4. Ensure they use bossy verbs to start e.g. wet, rinse, dry, rub etc.
