This Tuesday Dosbarth Coala and Cangarw were extremely fortunate to have Elizabeth's mum and grandfather come to school and share their experience of the Jewish Sabbath. Both classes have been enthusiastically learning about the Jewish day of rest and the Sabbath meal and through the afternoon they were able to observe first-hand what is actually involved during the Friday night meal. They saw the candles being let, the challah loaf being blessed, prayers being read and actually got to taste the bread and the wine (fruit juice really!).
