TALK HOMEWORK – 29th April 2013
This week we are studying the very famous ship ‘The Titanic’. Please read the story online:
The story is about a young man called Harold Bride who worked in the radio room on The Titanic. After reading the story can you talk about:
· The Titanic – its size, type of boat, what was on the ship, type of passengers
· The night the boat was hit by the iceberg- what would Harold have heard, seen, felt
· How many people were on board?
· How many lifeboats were there?
· Harold’s thoughts and feelings after the event.
Remember make a note of any WOW words that could be used in your writing. We will be writing a diary entry on Friday as though we are Harold Bride.
