The children have come back after Christmas full of enthusiasm and have jumped straight into their new topic 'Electric Rainbow'. Firstly, they completed a class KWL grid to show what they already knew about light and electricity and what they wanted to find out. This week they have enjoyed learning about different light sources and were able to sort them into Venn and Carroll diagrams based on whether they are natural or man-made or produce light or reflect light. They have also been ordering the different lights sources that have existed through history and were then able to say whether statements associated with light were fact or opinion.
In Maths this week they have been finding 1/2s and 1/4s of shapes and objects and thoroughly enjoyed creating 1/2 and 1/4 toppings from their own pizza!!! They looked good enough to eat!!!
