This week we are
studying traditional tales from different countries. I have chosen a story from Greece called ‘The
Wooden Horse’. I have included a story
of this traditional story for you to share together.
Please for talk
homework this week could you:
*help your child to
sequence the events in the story
* choose WOW words to
describe the wooden horse, Princess Helen and the fortress of Troy.
* help your child to
extend their sentences e.g. You give them a sentence based on the story – The colossal
wooden horse entered the city’s gates ……… Ask them to extend the sentence with
and, because but etc.
