On Monday Dosbarth Coala and Cangarw received a letter from Princess Dandelion asking for their help. Her woodland 'Badger Wood' is under threat from the building of a new bypass which is to be built through the middle of her beautiful woodland. She has asked the children to find out about the animals, plants, trees and flowers that live in the woodland so she can help protect them. She also wants the children to write letters to the local council to try and persuade them to stop the road being built!!
The children enthusiastically began working in groups to decide what they needed to do to help, how they were going to do it and how they would show what they have learned. Here they are in action:
We have also been exploring our local grounds and have been practising using our different senses in preparartion for our trip to our local woodland on Wednesday. We thoroughly playing 'Hunt the Caterpillars', 'One, Two, Three, What can I see?', 'What am I?' and lots more!
