On Friday, we
will be writing a poem based on the Olympics called 'My Olympic Box’. Read the ‘Magic Box’ poem by Kit Wright and
discuss why some of the items are special.
Talk about what things we could put in an Olympic box which would
symbolise or be associated with the Olympic Games:
*Olympic torch
*medals
*Olympic Values –
friendship, courage, determination, perseverance, excellence
*The Olympic
Rings
*a symbol of
London
*languages from
every corner of the world
*a hand shake etc
Then talk about
adjectives to describe your items. You may also like to talk about what unique
materials your box could be made of.
