BIG TALK

This week we have been extremely busy learning about koalas (our class name).  The children have used the Internet and encyclopedias to research facts about these fascinating creatures, made collages and even completed aboriginal paintings on koalas and other Australian creatures.

This week’s talk homework is to talk about what they children have found out about koalas.
You can talk about:
*Habitat – Where do koalas live?
*Diet – What do they eat? Drink?
*Appearance - What do they look like?  Any special features?
*Fascinating facts – How long do they sleep? How long do they live? What is a baby koala called? etc

This week I am also focusing the children in on using more describing words (adjectives) in their writing therefore you could talk about different adjectives that could be used to describe a koala.

YOU MAY MAKE NOTES IN YOUR TREASURY IF YOU WISH BUT IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL.

Have fun and remember the more talk the better! You will be amazed with how much they know!
