TALK HOMEWORK - Healthy Week Monday 10th June

This week as part of Healthy Week, we are going to write a Kenning poem about one of the following:

·        Teeth and how to look after them

·        Exercise or sleeping

·        Hygiene

Your child will be told which of the above elements they are to focus on.

A kenning is a poem that describes something using clues rather than just saying what it is. Each line is two words long e.g.

Crowd pleaser

Fast runner

Sneaky diver

Corner taker

Goal scorer

Mate hugger

Parents

Challenge setter

Whistle blower

Coffee drinker

Board writer

Book ticker

Big yawner

Children helper
