This week we
will be writing a diary entry from a fictional character called Toby. Today we have read the story ‘Toby and The
Great Fire of London’ although Toby is a fictional character, the subject is
based on real events from The Great Fire of London.
Here is a short summary of the story:
Master is cross when Toby forgets a
delivery for Mr Pepys. As Toby races
across the city he sees the sky is full of flames – London is burning! Can he
find Mr Pepys quickly and help save London from the fire?
This week
please can you spend time talking about:
· what Toby might have seen?
· the things he may have heard while
rushing through the streets
· the smells from the fire
· his thoughts and feelings during the
day
